Systemising Control Processes
Attestation and documentation are not parallel processes that you run alongside model execution. TRAC integrates them into a single workflow, saving you time and effort (and paper).
IN-GOVERNANCE ASSETS
Policy-controlled tags tell you which is the ‘challenger’ model and which is ‘in-governance’. The governance status of every calculation input is easily exposed, both when launching a Job and when presenting the outputs for sign-off.
RESULTS SIGN-OFF
For Flows with a ‘Production’ tag, a sign-off policy can be applied, giving certain users the ability to approve one set of results generated using that Flow. This is particularly useful if the outputs are published to a downstream process.
DOCUMENT AUTOMATION
TRAC automatically generates model implementation, data lineage and audit reports, which can be exported in pdf and used in formal governance, eliminating the need for labour-intensive paper production exercises.
Your Controls, Configured Your Way!
Traditional environment-level access restrictions are replaced with tenant and object level permissions, and sign-off processes which can be configured to reflect the structure of your organisation.
MULTI-TENNANT
TRAC is partitioned into logical tenants so unrelated use-cases can be managed on a single platform instance. Business assets and permission are tenant-specific, giving you full functional separation and the effect of separate environments.
CONFIGURABLE TAGS
TRAC’s metadata model can be configured to reflect your most relevant business identifiers. Descriptive tags can be applied to different asset types (Data, Model, Flow, Job) to aid discovery and as anchors for object-level policies.
OBJECT-LEVEL POLICY
The Policy Service TRAC assigns read, write and sign-off permissions at the level of individual business assets, or groups of assets based, so ‘production’ is to a group of policy-controlled assets, not a separate environment.
… and a Time Machine
TRAC catalogues all business assets and actions on those assets in a fully time-consistent fashion. Explore the history of changes applied to any model or data asset, or view the entire platform contents as they were at any prior point in time.
Some people would call this personalised platform roll-back. We call it ‘time-travel’.
